<REMINDER!!! Mogwai is in town, the “this is a party gig” is happenin soon and there are various art, photography as well as plays happening in the next few months. Remember to check out Events column on the top right of indiegoat!>
It’s been awhile since I have posted at Indiegoat and I think a post is certainly long over due.
Bands have come and gone to Penang (97 Shiki, My Disco,DDA etc) and we are now nine years into the new millennium. The local indie scene is surviving.
So my question to all you Indiegoat readers out there (very very faithful indeed) is “What would you like to see happening in the Penang Arts and Music scene?”
I think we would love to hear what you all would love to see in Penang. I am not sure whether will it bring any impact or changes but HEY, you never know. Plus it would be great that we could get feedback from you. Let us know that you’re out there!!
I have started my little wishlist below at the comments section.
Hope you guys fill it up….
P.S Pixel art chunnnnn
Metal KFC???? LOL
Gein – Super DNB!
Thanks to Omesh, I love this stuff! Super beats with super psychedelic /atmospheric energy!

Due to many ‘halangan’, we have no choice but to change our route for the trip.. and have to skip Ipoh because of the very super high charges of venue (1k for venue only!!!) and restrictions here and there like u cant use their P.A. even if they have one or u must pay 50% deposit (not even 1 cent less) and must pay up the rest before even setup ur equipments. Then u can’t use the venue for long, only like 4pm til 9pm and thats it, u can’t go in earlier and must finish ur show before 9pm. Equipment wise, we’re not able to a cheaper set which means its gonna costs RM5-800!! wowwww… I wonder why Ipoh has became like such?
Maybe I’m too used to my comfort zone Soundmaker.. things are so easy if you wana organise a gig. Book the venue, pay deposit and thats it.
To the bands and the ppl who support HSDD in Ipoh, here I must say THANK YOU and i APOLOGY for the dissapointing decision.
Special thanks to Am, Mathari and Minie, the most helpful Ipoh mali musicians that I’ve ever met, helping us running here and there dealing with the bloody fuzzy boss and all… Salute!
Nevermind, we have set our net target.
We will route to Ipoh, JB and Melaka in the year of 2009, we promise!!!!
p/s: to all the bands, pls contact me if anything for the update 016 445 8980

if too much rules and regulations and restrictions just to make like a clean magazine, i rather go buy junk and read..
indiegoat might be special, a special freedom blog-mag which is special in its way, an unformal crappy mag, no one has done that before, so we’re the damn ppl who dare to be that way.. cant we?
Over the past few months, we’ve realised that we’d do much better covering more than just music. Therefore, we’re now going to write about film and visual arts.
So here you go. A brand new Indiegoat, with a new design and more content to come.
