Jaringan Rakyat Tertindas (Jerit) or the Network of the Oppressed Peoples is having a nationwide bicycle campaign from the 3rd-18th December. Teams of cyclists from Kedah, Kelantan and Johor are going to cycle to Selangor and meet at Parliament over 15 days; and are going to make stops at various locations to publicise their cause and have activities such as art performances and film screenings. Check out www.jerit.org for more info.
One of the stops is a rustic, old Malay kampung-style house complete with stilts and deco in Kampung Terang, Balik Pulau; and they plan to screen films and have political song performances.
Date: 5 Dec
Venue: PKR House, Kg Terang, Balik Pulau
