517 DTD Tee & Music Festival 2 Don’t Stop The Voice!!

Every May, the Labourers of local independent music shall gather and celebrate our sounds and voices. Last year, in commemoration of DTD’s establishment and the culmination of the various events combining music and creativity, we’ve created a lively picture, gathering like-minded individuals to join in our movement of expression.

This year, DTD shall once again gather our independent ranks, assemble our expressive energy and let our creativity run free.

4 Stages/4 Nations/ 40 Creative Stands
This year, we seek to construct a greater platform, gathering independent musicians from all around Malaysia, in commemoration of our DIY spirit and the colourful multiplicity of our music.

The greatest highlight of the year is our independent musical guests from Taiwan, Singapore and Indonesia, charging the first step to make DTD’s mission in celebrating Asian music a reality, bringing our creativities close enough to touch.

The 4 musical stages presents a variant of exciting music from bands and Electronica musical groups, while the venue is set to become a brimming platform of inspiration with creative T-shirt design assembly, T-Front, leading the charge for a flea market of 40 creative stands showcasing their fun, youthful ingenuity.

T-Front’s creative designs shall also merge with the music as their works of art will be showcased as the music is performed during our special Cat Walk Show, creating a synergetic powerhouse of quirky independent atmosphere, making DTD Music Fest a vivacious platform of self-expression.

Working with NGO
This event is an unprecedented joint venture between DTD’s sub-culture and the Selangor Assembly Hall Association.

In an effort to empower local youths with independence, humanist values, a variety of “accidental” performance arts will also be presented during the festival, spreading a message of care for the betterment of culture in our society.

Before the Festival
There will also be a special pre-event gig serving as a warm up to the festival itself on March 22, allowing more musicians to present their music at MCPA, Selangor Assembly Hall.

The films, designs from our 40 creative stands and other info can be found at the DTD blog.
