Indiegoat is a non-profit website started by four music lovers in Penang with the hope of improving the indie/DIY scene in Penang. We cover gigs and also write about indie and DIY musicmaking in Malaysia of all genres including indie jazz, indie folk, indie rock and any other music created through the influences of people, not corporations.

The four of us are:

Freddie, formerly from Coma
and Kris, web designer, activist and closet writer

Advertise and support us

We’re looking for supporters of independent music to help us by advertising on our website with a rectangle size banner (180×150px). The money will be used to help cover our hosting and domain fees and to hire freelance writers and photographers, so contact us if you’re interested.

Write and shoot for us

We can’t be at two places at the same time, so if you can write well, love gigs and can take decent photos, email us below.
